Install the App

Click here to download the TimeAlign app onto your iPhone from the App Store.

Create an Account

1. Sign-up with your Google or Apple Account
   1. NOTE: you must allow additional access to your Google account, but syncing with your Google calendar is optional.

Create Your TimeAlign Categories

Time management varies for each person, so we’ve designed TimeAlign to be flexible. We’ll start you off with some popular categories and you can edit them to fit your individual needs.

TimeAlign allows you to create color categories to represent different areas of your life. Each category will have a single color and may contain multiple activities. Categories can be mapped to existing colors in your Google and Apple Calendar.

Sync Your Calendar (Optional)

1. Connect your Google Calendar and/or Apple Calendar to TimeAlign.
   1. NOTE: TimeAlign does not yet support integration with Outlook calendar. If you would like to request integration to another calendar, please tap the link below to request: Outlook Calendar Other Calendar
2. If you want to connect your Apple Calendar, you will need to use an app-specific password. Apple only requires you to do this once.
   1. To generate an app specific password, Sign in to appleid.apple.com.
   2. Select App-Specific Passwords.
   3. Select Generate an app-specific password (or select the Add “+” button)
   4. Follow the steps on your screen.
   5. Type your Apple ID email into the email field in the TimeAlign app.
   6. Paste the app-specific password into the password field in the TimeAlign app.
3. Select which calendars you want to integrate with TimeAlign
   1. NOTE: ‘Other’ calendars that are linked to your Apple or Google calendar cannot be synced to TimeAlign. If you need this functionality to use TimeAlign, click here to upvote the feature.
4. Your existing calendar will import into TimeAlign. This could take a minute depending on how much calendar data you are trying to import.

Map Your Color Categories

TimeAlign Categories can be mapped to colors in your Google and Apple Calendars. Color mapping will ensure your external calendar colors are synchronized to your TimeAlign color categories. All mapped colors will sync to the “General” activity within each category. If a color is not mapped, it will default to the grey “Uncategorized” category.
